See You Again – Solo Exhibition by Shuh-Sen Yang

Born in Kinmen in 1958, Shuh-Sen Yang majored in mechanical engineering at Chung Yuan Christian University, where he found his passion for painting and even launched his debut solo exhibition as a driftwood artist.
In 1997, his connection to God and art therapy helped get him back on his feet after suffering from illness which affected his physical and mental health. In 2002, he picked up his paint brush again and focused on turning driftwood and waste into creative artworks. See You Again – Solo Exhibition by Shuh-Sen Yang features driftwood carvings of faces which symbolize the rebirth of life and their life stories. “The most beautiful scenery is a person’s face,” Yang once said.
Yang sees the beauty of pieces of driftwood and uses them as canvas for his creations, giving them new life with his life stories and imagination. Driftwood art has the power to heal and cure the hearth and soul, and Yang hopes that his artworks can also help others who are going through the same kind of suffering he had to see the light and give them love and hope.
